Chrysostomo Frackowiak was born in Czarkowo, Poland on September 14, 1797, to Laurenty and Sophia Frackowiak. He had at least one sibling - a brother Jacobus, born in July of 1794. On October 8, 1820, Chrysostomo married Marianna Ottowna, daughter of Boguslai Ott and Barbara Mackowiak, in Drzewce, Poland, a few miles from Czarkowo. Marianna had been born around 1802. Apparently, the couple settled in Drzewce, and raised their family there. Curiously, some records show Marianna's last name as "Bogiszukow", while others show "Ottowna". I believe the confusion lies with her dad's first name - Boguslai.
Chrysostomo and Marianna had at least 6 children - Matheus, Michael, Catharina, Marianna, Barbara, and Adalbert. All were born between 1821 and 1834. In July of 1828, tragedy struck the family. Four-year-old Catharina died on the 2nd, and 23 days later, six-year-old Michael died on the 25th. Cause of death for both was the fever.
Less than seven years later, tragedy struck again. Marianna succumbed to the fever. She died on April 8, 1835, leaving Chrysostomo with 1-year-old Adalbert, 3-year-old Barbara, 8-year-old Marianna, and 13-year-old Matheus. Not surprisingly, Chrysostomo re-married shortly thereafter. On June 30, 1835, less than 3 months after Marianna's death, he married the widow Bregida Puta in Rokofsowo, Poland. Somewhat surprisingly, one of the witnesses to the marriage was Boguslai Ott - father of Marianna.
Chrysostomo and Bregida had at least one child - Apolonia - born April 16, 1838 in Drzewce. It is not known (but assumed), that Bregida brought her own children into the marriage as well.
It is not certain when Chrysostomo died, although I have found a death record for a Joannes Chrysostomo Frackowiak, who died December 3, 1839 in Czarkowo of consumption. I have not been able to determine if this is the same Chrysostomo. At any rate, it is known that he did precede Bregida in death. Bregida died July 29, 1860 in Rokofsowo of consumption. She was listed as a widow.
