Kornaty is a village in the Kreis Wreschen (county of Wreschen), in the former Prussian province of Posen (now Wielkopolska). Several Menasha Zielinski's originated from Kornaty, but so far I have not been able to establish a relationship between them and our family line.

In 1905, Kornaty had 156 residents (3 Protestants, 153 Catholics, 0 Jews). 50 of these residents were unable to read or write. The post office and telegraph were in Strzalkowo - 3 km away. The railroad station was in Wrzesnia - 15 km away. The Grodzki (local court) was in Wreschen, the Okregowy (district court) was in Gniezno. The Catholic church was in Ostrowo Koscielne, a short distance north of Kornaty.
